Recent financial backing from private equity firms Aleph Capital Partners and Crestview Partners has bolstered Saber Interactive’s resources significantly. Although the specifics of this financial injection remain undisclosed, it’s clear that it was sufficient to settle existing debts with Embracer Group. This strategic move has allowed Saber Interactive to maintain and enhance its operations, which now span 13 studios globally.

As part of future plans, the remake of Knights of the Old Republic was highlighted among a slate of upcoming projects. Other anticipated titles include Jurassic Park: Survival, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and Tempest Rising. While excitement builds for each project, a release date for the KOTOR remake remains elusive.

However, the project encountered setbacks, causing development to be paused indefinitely. In 2022, Saber Interactive took charge, offering renewed hope for the game’s eventual release.
